Buzzbyte support

For hardware problems please call 0415 069553 anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email your question to support@buzzbyte.com.au

Returns:

All faulty components will be repaired or replaced free of charge if the item is still under warranty. In most cases the item will be replaced new for old. Exceptions are monitors and motherboards where attempts will be made to repair units where possible. Buzzbyte does not attempt to fix hard drives or recover data. Hard drives are replaced new for old. Consequently, it is paramount that users develop sound, regular back-up procedures.

Returns of hardware suspected to be faulty that turn out to be free of fault will incur a $55 penalty fee...

Turn around time:

Buzzbyte will make every effort to repair faulty items as soon as possible. Some units (high turn over items) can be replaced fairly quickly - between 24 - 48 hours. Other items can take up to four weeks.

Power Surges:

One of the most common causes of computer problems is the Power Surge. Surge protection is not 100% effective but it is a good start. Power surges/spikes can occur at any time especially during electrical storms (unplugging your pc and modem from the wall is your best bet at these times). If your pc stops working and is returned to Buzzbyte for repair and 2 or more components have simultaneously failed then you will be asked to consider making a claim on your household insurance, if you are unable or unwilling to do this Buzzbyte will replace the faulty components (providing the manufacturer honours the warranty). One customer had a 933mhz P3 replaced with a new Core2 system under a "new for old" insurance policy.

Repair of Buzzbyte computers:

Computers from the Buzzbyte range of computers can be repaired within 48 hours in most cases. Computers that are made by buzzbyte but are not a part of the buzzbyte range (customer specified computers) can take up to 4 weeks or longer to repair.
